The word combo refers to the display and touch layer sold and fitted together as one unit. When the display itself is damaged (lines, spots, no picture), or the touch no longer works, a full combo change is the proper repair.

What is glass fitting?

On some models the top glass can be separated from the display. If the picture and touch are perfect and only the outer glass is cracked, a glass-only replacement may be possible. It needs special tools, and it is not available for every model.
